We just got back from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this past Friday night. It was a very relaxing trip (once we got past the language barriers) and we didn't do a whole lot of anything. We spent some time in town eating and shopping, sitting by the pool and walking along the ocean. One day we went on a whale watching tour and got to see some whales. It was very cool to see the whales up close. Overall, the vacation was really fun and was definitely a needed and rewarding trip.
Saturday was spent in Aurora as Melissa had a baby shower to attend for our friends
Jeff and Kerry in the morning, who had some complications last week in their pregnancy. See
this post on their blog for more details. They are in our thoughts and prayers.
We then spent the afternoon working on our
baby registry, which was a bit daunting (on my side) but very cool overall and I think I learned a lot! Melissa has "grown" quite a bit the past week or two so this is all becoming much more real (not that I needed any further proof)
So after the vacation and ensueing events, we are back home today. Back to reality.
But first, here are a few photos of us on our trip...
Dinner our first night in town
On the beach...
Dinner at Pipi's (the locals called it Taco Bell, but it was the best dinner we had! It was just more American-style Mexican than most everything else)
